Hello
I'm Liz Pritchard! I blend curiosity, clarity, and deep user empathy to drive smart, inclusive decisions. I focus on asking the right questions, uncovering meaningful patterns, and making complexity feel approachable. I'm here to help you create thoughtful, effective, and user-centered experiences.
About Me
I'm a UX researcher and service designer with 13+ years of experience driving applied research, research operations, and user-centered strategy in complex, data-driven environments.
I bring deep expertise in both qualitative and quantitative methods, from usability testing and contextual inquiry to surveys and A/B testing. My work spans the full research lifecycle: scoping studies, designing scalable research operations, synthesizing insights across complex datasets, and translating findings into compelling narratives for executive audiences. I've managed large research panels, partnered with cross-functional teams in agile environments, and built research frameworks that balance rigor with real-world constraints.
I entered UX through a library. As a public services manager / Head of Circulation, I led a large team focused on improving access to information and other library services. This work revealed how much I love solving complex problems through human-centered design and led me to pursue a Master of Science in Library and Information Sciences, which fundamentally shapes how I approach research today.
Since then, I've built long-term research and innovation strategies, designed end-to-end experiences across mobile and web platforms, and created cross-functional research programs that center user needs while navigating real organizational constraints. I also founded a research community of practice that improved mobile UX across multiple teams, products, and services. I'm passionate about research democratization, inclusive design, and mentoring others to do work that makes a real impact.
Outside of work, you can find me making things: weaving baskets out of clay at the community art studio, working on projects around my old house, tending the garden, or just hanging out with my dog, Zeppelin.
